Event description
Victoria, BC – April 5, 2025– Following overwhelming responses in Ottawa and Toronto Elbows Up, Victoria! will be at the BC Legislature in Victoria on April 5th at 11 am. This family-friendly, non-partisan celebration brings Canadians together in a peaceful show of unity, resilience, and strength.
The Victoria event will feature a dynamic lineup of speakers and musicians, including beloved local environmentalist Elizabeth May, the Raging Grannies, award-winning puppeteer Tim Gosley plus other local speakers and performers. The gathering will include inspiring speeches, live music by Victoria’s own singer-songwriter Deb Rhymer and jazz singer-songwriter Heather Ferguson and community engagement activities aimed at fostering conversation and connection.
“Elbows Up, Canada! is about standing together—proud, strong, and united,” says Peter Wall, an organizer of the movement. Local Victoria organizers have worked very hard to bring the Victoria event together in record time so as to celebrate in tandem with Hands Off rallies taking place across the United States. 🌐 elbowsup-canada.ca
