How exactly does the partnership work?

Joining the Community Card is a win-win. Here's how it works: we connect your organization to our membership, who pay a very small monthly or annual fee for access to the Card.

As a partner, you provide an exclusive perk for these subscribers - whether that's a discount, special offer, or early access event tickets. What do you get out of it? Our partners receive a free advertising slot in our newsletter, helping you to stand out while getting additional traffic, sales, and new customers from our subscriber base, plus you'll have your organization's logos displayed on our website!

How do I / my organization benefit?

This is not a one-sided benefit for us. We give as good as we get, sometimes better!
- A free advertising slot in our newsletter going out to ~6000 local Victoria residents.
- Discounted rates on newsletter & website advertising.
- Your logo on our website with more than 500 daily visitors.
- Share our membership base to get new customers, eventgoers, store traffic, or sales.

How much effort is involved if I partner?

We know your time is valuable, so we keep things as low effort & high reward as possible. We'll work with you to make sure our partnership is simple & collaborative, and many of ours partners only have to go to an initial effort to make a discount code or similar offer with no more hassle after that.

Is there a minimum partnership length? Can I back out anytime?

We don't lock you into any sort of contract. If it's not working for you anymore, you're welcome to back out or change the perk you offer our subscribers anytime.

What kind of audience does LampPost have?

The audience you can expect to get from our membership base is ~70% aged 21-44, offering you a valuable customer base. Our readers are also engaged, love getting out into the community, and getting involved with local opportunities!

Do I need to provide anything else besides the discount or perk?

What you offer is totally up to you and whatever works best for your organization. While offering a larger discount or more than one perk might help your offer stand out more, it's by no means required and you will benefit from the partnership either way!

Why do you charge for the membership?

If our whole goal is to build community, why do we charge for it? It's a great question! While we'd love to make the card free for everyone, putting the Community Card together involves costs we need to cover. Also, our members are more likely to engage with your business & discounts if there's "buy in"!
