Shiny on Top is a 3 piece Rock & Blues Band whose players are well seasoned and professional. All have played with many big name acts throughout years and each musician has produced and performed on the own CDs as well as other’s projects. Live shows are where these gentlemen shine (no pun). The band has a full sound and performs a variety of songs that include both originals and covers. Their strong vocals and tight harmonies play an integral role in their thick and rich sound that has rocked many a Casbah… Earl (Guitar/ Bass/ Vocals)- Earls’ an Ontario lad formerly of the Earl Gray Band, Trouble Iz, and numerous other projects. Earl hasn’t yet figured out that the live big guitar sound can be accomplished by the addition of more players, and it's nothing short of amazing that one guy can create that much sound… Billy (Drums/ Percussion/ Vocals)- Billy grew up in Nanaimo and has played with such acts as David Gogo, Chevy Ray and The Finns, Foul Play, Don;t Go Changing’, McQueen, and countless other bands. His solid timing and strong backbeat have kicked more butt than you can shake a stick at. Tavis (Bass/ Guitar/ Keyboards/ Vocals)- Travis grew up in the Kootenays. Travis is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, and, as such, can often be heard expanding the parameters of the traditional Power Trio.
