Event description
Jacob Leger is an indie-folk musician based in Victoria, British Columbia. Originally hailing from the east coast of Canada, he first came onto the BC scene as a singer, lyricist, and multi-instrumentalist in the Victoria folk-rock unit, Naked by the Fire.
After a few years of writing, recording, and whirlwind touring with the band, Leger began recording the soulful and intimate material that would make up his debut EP, I Wish You Could See What I See Now (2024).
Talel McBriar is a singer-songwriter whose sound merges traditional folk with alternative rock influences.
Delivered through stirring vocals and emotive instrumentals, her lyrics are honest and cathartic as she confronts her anxieties and observations through song. "Talel effortlessly conveys her discomfort with the present times in a way I once thought required three or four times her life experience," says Josh Lehman, producer of The 6 Mile Sessions. In 2018, her original song October won a Kootenay Music Award for ‘Best Original Roots Song.’
Talel's debut EP titled Flood Season was released on July 8th, 2022 via indie label Catapult Recordings.
Growing up in the Kootenay mountains of southern British Columbia, Diana Rose is a singer/songwriter who weaves her roots of indie folk, and nostalgic lyrics to bring you into her world.
Her music reflects a feeling of sitting in your friend's living room on a golden hour evening, while reminiscing on all the moments that have brought you here. It’s a bittersweet balance of poetry, and rawness that makes her relate to her audience. Watching her play is like watching a mirror of your own moments. Rose will leave you captivated in your seat and tugging at your heartstrings.
