Event description

Description Entry for this concert in Alix Goolden Performance Hall will be at the Victoria Conservatory of Music – 900 Johnson Street. Early Bird General Admission tickets available until March 31, 11:55pm. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join us for two nights of joyful music as Daniel Lapp brings together a delightful mix of performers for an unforgettable experience in the Victoria Conservatory’s beautiful Alix Goolden Performance Hall! The Joy of Life concerts take place on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 PM. This year’s performers include the young fiddlers of the BC Fiddle Orchestra and the Old-Time Danceband, joined by alumni from the past 31 years. Adding to the toe-tapping excitement will be members of Folkestra! and the Joy of Life Choir, backed by the mighty Joy of Life House Band of renowned local musicians. Topped off with performances by Daniel’s special guests, these concerts inspire all ages, celebrating life as it blossoms in spring across the nation and resonates at home in Victoria through the wonderful power of live Canadian music. We acknowledge the support of the CRD Arts & Culture Support Service and the Province of British Columbia. Venue Accessibility The 900 Johnson Street entrance is at ground-level and wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator located on the first floor: as you enter the building go down the ramp to your right and the elevator is on the left at the bottom. Priority seating can be provided at concerts if you have accessibility issues; please contact the Venues Department. Wheelchair accessible restrooms are on the main floor, beside the lobby in the Reception and Registration area.
