However, everyone is welcome, regardless of contribution. Saxophonist Andrew Greenwood is renowned for his big, round sound, beautiful improvisations, and skill as a bandleader. This well-respected quintet—featuring five of the West Coast's top musicians, including trumpeter Miguelito Valdes—has performed the music of Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, and Wayne Shorter, as well as original compositions by its members. In this special presentation, Andrew brings the quintet together to pay homage to the iconic sound and style of jazz saxophonist Eddie Harris.
