BC Aviation Museum

1040 Moss St.
Explore the Hawaii Mars & over 40 aircraft showcasing BC aviation history, plus discover aviation-themed souvenirs in our gift shop. The British Columbia Aviation Museum is a major attraction on Vancouver Island. It is located next to Victoria International Airport, on the south-east corner of the airport lands (see directions). In our Museum, there are many interesting aircraft, engines, pictures, models and artefacts. We have civilian and commercial aircraft, as well as military aircraft, all of which made contributions to British Columbia’s aviation history. Be sure to visit our Memorial Room, where you will find many artefacts from the wars in which Canadians fought as members of the Royal Flying Corps, Royal Air Force, or Royal Canadian Air Force. The Memorial Room also includes an historical display of RCAF Station Patricia Bay, as it was during its time as a Commonwealth Air Training Plan Centre, complete with models of all the aircraft that were stationed there during those years. From September 28, 2024 onwards, the public is invited to see the Hawaii Mars up close to personally experience its amazing historical and cultural significance. This is the first time in its 80-year history that it is being made available to visitors daily with museum tour guides to present the aircraft. The Hawaii Mars the crown jewel in the museum’s growing BC Wildfire Aviation exhibit.
