Event description
Jason will take us on a wine tasting tour through Germany. The German wine industry is most famous for world class Riesling, produced along the Rhein and its tributary the Mosel, and has been recorded in production there since 1435. There is wide agreement that the white wines from the best sites and the most reputable producers are some of the greatest and longest living in the world. Long known for their sweeter styles of white, modern German winemaking is firmly footed in the trocken, or dry, realm. Certainly climate change has afforded producers the ability to consistently produce a range of white and lighter reds, typically showing off the country’s slate soils and steep slopes.
