Mt. Eliah and The Downbeat are proud to present: The Van Isle DJ Competition!!! Beginning on Thursday, January 30th. Mt. Eliah and The Downbeat bring you an event like no other. Where DJ’s are cultivated, invested in, and pushed to evolve. Where all genres come together in an effort to promote beats, vibe, and culture. An event that will help shape the Victoria electronic music scene. Come support local and surrounding area DJ's at The Downbeat as they show their love for music and compete for a chance to win it all. To enter to compete, we require a 30 minute demo and your contact information. Please fill out the form posted below. Through our panel of judges made up from members of almost every major event promotion group on the island, Industry professionals and Accomplished music producers. The top 16 canadites will be picked to compete. The competition will be judged on 3 catagories: Creativity, Technical ability and crowd support. 1st place prize package: Set at Pachena Bay Music Festival 1 year monthly residency at The Downbeat DJ lessons to up your game Music production lessons DJ set at The Waverly DJ set w/ Dubversified Culture DJ set w Footwork Entertainment Swag from Mindgarden Equipment rental from What Sound! $1000 Cash 2nd and 3rd place prize packages as well!
