Event description
Saturn, a wandering musician cursed to be alone, ventures through the nine circles of hell to find his estranged brother. As he brings the audience along for the ride, he is forced to confront both literal and metaphorical demons— and the childhood that haunts him as he descends.
In this workshop presentation, Ciarán Volke explores the relationship between ambition, loneliness, and the people we leave behind. This project had its first phase in the 2021 OUTStages Residency, and has since gone through several metamorphoses. This next iteration will ask the audience to consider their own ambitions, and what they would be willing to do to achieve them.
