Event description

We are hosting a very low key community gathering. We will have some tea, snacks, and some games to share. Feel free to bring your own snacks and games if you desire. This is an all queers event. We will welcome support humans who accompany our Queer peeps, while centering the experiences of the Queer humans in our space. Check in is from 2:15-2:30pm. If you arrive after 2:30pm, we will give you a phone number to text to let you in. This event is happening on the stolen lands of the Lekwungen Speaking People's who have tended to these lands since time immemorial. We recognized that colonial gender identities and roles have specifically done harm to Indigenous People all of Turtle Island. Let this be a place where we can say "fuck colonial gender" and celebrate all who walk in their ancestral ways and knowing. Space held by: Katree Weick, Kenzie Hawksworth. Hosted by: The Queer Care Collective. Accessibility: Our space can be found on the second floor of 888 Fort Street with a ramp, elevator, and gender-neutral restrooms. COVID precautions include masks, hand sanitizer, and ventilation.
