Co-Written & Co-Directed by Joel Bernbaum & Yvette Nolan
Co-written & performed by Elijah Bell, Nicholas Guerreiro, Heather Jarvie, Yves Parizeau, Amalia Schelhorn, and Katie Van Bergeyk. Music by Tobin Stokes.
For the past two years, Joel and Yvette have been working with theatres in cities across the country on this verbatim theatre project about climate change. Last March in Victoria, Joel led a workshop on verbatim theatre with theatre artists and interested citizens. They were tasked with conducting interviews with people in our city asking them their thoughts on the climate crisis.
During the week prior to this reading, Joel and Yvette will work with five of the participants from last year’s workshop to edit and arrange the transcribed interviews into a play with music; a play that will reveal Victorians’ attitudes to this vital and pressing issue.
